Easy Alfredo Sauce for Vegans

This is a super easy and tasty recipe for Alfredo Sauce. It’s vegan friendly, and pairs excellently with a variety of your favourite foods!
Equipment:
- Medium Saucepan
Ingredients:
- Nutritional yeast: 1/2 of a cup
- Vegan margarine: 1/2 of a cup
- Vegan cream cheese: 1 cup
- Arrowroot powder: 2 Tbsp
- Garlic, minced: 1 clove
- Unsweetened non-dairy milk: 2 and 1/2 cups
- Onion, minced: 1 small
- Ground nutmeg: 1/6 of a tsp
- Cracked black pepper: as desired
- Salt: As desired
Directions:
- On medium heat, allow margarine to melt in saucepan, then add in the arrowroot. Stir until thick
- Stir in cream cheese, continuing to stir until it has melted
- Mix in non dairy milk, onion, nutritional yeast, and garlic, stirring continuously on a medium heat until it becomes hot
- Add in the salt, nutmeg, and pepper
This sauce is wonderful served on top of a brown rice pasta, or on veggies or rice!
