Magnificent Vegan Pesto

Every great pasta deserves a great pesto! And so does every vegan! Magnificent Vegan Pesto is 100% vegan friendly, 100% easy to make, and 100% delicious!
Equipment:
- Food processor
Ingredients:
- Pine nuts: 6 Tbsp
- Sea salt: 3/4 of a Tsp
- Fresh basil leaves: 3 cups
- Olive oil: 6 Tbsp
- Garlic cloves: 2-4
Directions:
- Combine salt, basil, garlic, and nuts in the processor, blending until finely mixed
- Add the oil and continue to blend until everything is well mixed
This pesto is wonderufl on quinoa pasta. Try experimenting with the amount of garlic to adjust the flavour to your preference.




Can this be frozen?
I have a BUMPER crop of basil right now.
Hi, sharonmarie. I’m from Italy and I’ve always frozen my homemade pesto, so yes, you can definitely do that
I use small glass jars with a screw lid, when I feel like pesto, I simply take hem out of the freezer theday before. Sometimes if i’m in a haste, I unscrew the lid and pop the jar in the microwave to defrost for a couple of minutes.
