Vegan Sloppy Joes

Long live the Sloppy Joe! This recipe is here to ensure that vegans everywhere can enjoy the feel-good satisfaction of a good ol’ sloppy joe! It’s easy to make, and is a hit with the taste buds!
Equipment:
- Frying pan
Ingredients:
- Salt: 1/2 tsp
- Pepper: 1/2 tsp
- Mustard: 2 tbsp
- Soy sauce: 1 tbsp
- Sugar: 1 tsp
- Chili powder: 2 tsp
- Green peppers (small-medium sized): 2
- Tomato sauce: 1 and 1/2 cups
- Onions (small): 2-4
- Textured soy protein: 1 and 1/2 cups
- Boiling water: 1 and 1/2 cup
Directions:
- Saute the peppers and onions in the frying pan with the water
- Once they are mostly cooked, mix in the other ingredients, stirring well
- While stirring occasionally, allow the mixture to cook for approx 20 minutes. Keep covered
Although this is a Sloppy Joe recipe, we also love serving it over rice!
